I am your typical Jewish Boston dater. I’m in my mid 20’s, grew up on the NorthShore, went to school in Boston and now live in Brighton. I’ve gone on my fair share of dates and between my roommate and friends we can go around a room and check off a never ending list of guys whom we have dated, talked to and perused online. So I ask the question, why am I still single? There is a whole list of reasons, but of course none of the reasons are because of any of my qualities. I am perfect Jewish woman!
From the ever expanding list of guys I’ve dated, I find something else that I want out of a Jewish man. I do not consider myself picky; however, even though they are Jewish does not mean they are what I want in a Jewish man. I want a guy that lives a healthy lifestyle, educated, funny, respectful, is open to keeping a Kosher/Jewish home, love for Israel, and can take care of himself. Maybe my expectations are a little high but I do not think so because I am not even looking for a tall guy. I am short and am actually attracted to the short, hairy and stalky type, which is most of the Jewish population. Unfortunately it is not enough to just be a Jewish man anymore, we want the whole package. So what do Jewish men want in a Jewish woman? They want to be happy. I think their expectations are too high.
Where do I find these Jewish, single, eligible, “normal” Jewish guys? They are out there somewhere. They are online, at religious and social events, sitting next to you at work and staring at you from across the bar.
